Granger Parks and Rec Board Meeting, Wednesday, November 4, 2020

 

General Agenda Items:

Call to Order – Jeri Wendzel at 7:30pm

Roll Call – All present

Approval of Agenda – Erik motions, Jeri seconds

Approval of October minutes – Ryan motions, Angela seconds

Board Discussion Items:

Director’s Report:

  1. New board member – Dori Robinson; Ryan motions to approve, Jeri seconds; submit for city council approval
    1. 3 ayes (Jeri, Ryan, Angela), 1 opposed (Erik)
  2. 1st and 2nd grade basketball coach’s meeting on 11-4; practices begin on 11-16
    1. 8 teams of 4 girls and 4 boys; 38 kids total
  3. TOT basketball begins 11-10; 14 registered, 5 on wait list
    1. may split in to two classes to accommodate all students
  4. Basketball skills clinic begins 11-10; 12 registered
  5. Community center cleaning – Jadney resigned; looking at outside vendors for cleaning quotes
    1. Stratus (company) and Jen Jones (personal) have submitted pricing
  6. Brad and Matt Parks to collaborate on storm damage to CC drywall
  7. Morning fitness classes have returned from Covid hiatus
