Rob Saak is our Fire Chief and Bethany Stanger is our Ambulance Captain. The personnel of our Fire & Rescue Departments are volunteers. New faces in either organization are always welcome!
The Fire and Rescue Departments are located next to City Hall.

The Granger Fire and Rescue Departments were established to prevent and extinguish fires and to protect lives and property against fires, to promote fire prevention and fire safety, to answer all emergency calls and to provide ambulance service.

The Granger Public Library sets out to provide cultural enrichment & leisure activities for all ages.
The library provides wonderful programs for community participation. We offer crochet & knitting classes, book club, story time for ages 0-5,
& an hour after-school program for Kindergarten-5th grades.
Our Parks and Rec department oversees many of the activities held at our parks and Community Center. Visit our Parks and Recreation webpage to get involved or rent a Shelter house or schedule an event in our Community Center.

The Granger Police Department was established to provide for the preservation of peace and enforcement of Iowa law and City Ordinances within the corporate limits of the City of Granger.

Our Public Works staff is responsible for the major utilities and infrastructure of the City. Key staff members include the Director of Public Works, City Engineer, Street Maintenance Superintendent, and Water and Wastewater Superintendent.

Snow Ordinance
69.10 SNOW REMOVAL. No person shall park, abandon or leave unattended any vehicle on any public street, alley, or City-owned off-street parking area during snow removal operations unless the snow has been removed or plowed from said street, alley or parking area and the snow has ceased to fall.
